The COVID 19 Pandemic has indeed been a learning experience. It has turned our lives upside down and in a complete 180. (Hopefully) as this pandemic ends, let’s continue to maintain these 7 home habits.
Toilet Paper & Paper Towels
We should always take advantage of having a more than adequate amount of toilet paper and paper towels. Prior to the pandemic, some people always laughed at people who had stockpiles full of toilet paper and paper towels. At the beginning of the pandemic, the stockpilers were the ones with all the laughs. They were sitting back while everyone else was trying to purchase just enough to last a few days. I’m not suggesting you purchase a million rolls of toilet paper and paper towels. However, I am suggesting we always have enough in our homes incase we aren’t able to go to the store for at least two weeks. I have subscribed to Amazon’s Subscribe and Save program. Through this program, Amazon will automatically send you the quantity of your selected household products.
Keeping Your Home Sanitized
There is no such thing as having a too clean home. To be honest, I was not officially sanitizing my house everyday prior to the pandemic. I love a clean home, but I was definitely no Melissa Maker. This pandemic has taught me to sanitize my door knobs, faucets, and other items as often as I should.
Decluttering More
With so many of us stuck in our homes, we are realizing that we don’t need as much “stuff” as we have. Having less stuff allows us to be more comfortable in our home. After the pandemic, let’s continue to maintain a clutter free home. My personal goal is to have a home where visitors enter and say “wow, where is all your extra stuff?”
Eating at Home
During this pandemic, we all have been eating at home more and eating out less. This is a practice that we should definitely keep after the pandemic. Let’s continue to purchase our food and prepare cooked meals for our family. This will save money and its more healthy.
Completing Home Projects
I am actually loving seeing people complete more projects. Our home is our haven. It should be welcoming and make us comfortable. Many people are taking advantage of the time spent at home to complete various projects. Many people are creating the indoor or outdoor space they love. Let’s keep this same energy after the pandemic. Our dwelling should be a place we want to relax and enjoy in.
When it comes to home projects, I'm either starting a project, finishing a project, or planning a project. Click To TweetSpending Time with Family or Friends at Home
Home activities such as watching movies, playing games, working on vision boards, or even reading books are priceless. These are things that we may not have did as often because the world was open and we were not at home. Let’s take advantage of this time with our love ones. When the pandemic is over, we should still continue with these activities.
Cleanliness & Social Distance
We are doing a better job with our cleanliness. People are washing their hands more and teaching their children the importance of washing their hands more often. We are also practicing social distance more. These are actually habits that we should have been doing prior to the pandemic.
