I recently attended the private showing of the 2nd Annual Kips Bay Decorator Show House in Dallas. This event included two of my great passions: beautiful design and a wonderful charitable cause. If you are ever given an opportunity to visit a show house, you should definitely do it.
What is a Show House?
Typically, a Show House is a collaborative project between interior designers, sponsors, vendors, landscape designers and other volunteers. A home is either built or redesigned by design professionals. Each room is designed and decorated by a separate interior design firm. Every aspect of the home is professionally decorated. All design aspects are used. The Show House is open to the public for view. Tickets can be purchased online for an in person visit or a virtual visit.
The Kips Bay Decorator Show House in Dallas is located at 5138 Deloache Avenue. This fabulous Old Preston Hollow home was built in the late 1990’s and sits on 1.44 acres. A total of 25 interior designers designed this home for the 2021 Show House. The Show House is available for viewing between September 24, 2021 through October 24, 2021. My Favorite Rooms
My absolute favorite room in the show house is the master suite. The master suite is complete with a siting area, library, beautiful bathroom, his and hers vanities, dressing room complete with bar, and his and hers closet. I could literally live in the master suite.
I also love the laundry room. It was equipped with all of my laundry room must haves (a TV and area for a fur baby.)
Your master bedroom should be designed to be your own relaxing haven. Click To TweetThese additional living, dining, and bedrooms are honorable mentions.

Loved these photos! My fave are the primary suite’s his and her closets and the laundry room. I’m definitely going to check for any showhouses here in Houston, I’ve never been!
