What do you get when you combine 1 amazing home builder (Paul Moss), 1 breathtaking landscape designer (Troy Rhone), a team of 24 talented interior designers (working under HGTV’s Donna Moss), sponsorship by Traditional Home magazine, and the desire to support the Alzheimer’s Association? You’re left with the alluring 2017 Dallas Decorators Showhouse!!!

HGTV‘s Donna Moss of That’s Haute and Traditional Home partnered to create this dream luxury home. I was invited by Cambria to attend a private brunch and showing of the fabulous 7,938 sq ft home located in Southlake, Texas. I was beyond honored and excited to view this home and meet some of the local designers that I have admired.
Family Room
The family room gave me LIFE!!! The black and white decor with accents of gold screamed elegance and style. I loved the designers use of multiple textures and fabrics to create a beautiful visual effect in this room. It allows for plenty of comfortable seating and does not sacrifice the room’s open and airy space. I can see myself entertaining with my family and friends in this Divine room.
Bedrooms
The bedrooms in the Showhouse includes a master suite, a guest suite, and three beautifully decorated bedrooms. Each bedroom had its own fabulously designed bathroom and large walk in closet. I couldn’t decide which room I loved more until I stepped into the beautiful master suite which is located on the first floor.
Master Suite
The master suite is simply divine. It is completely designed for royalty!!!! I always tell my clients the master bedroom should be their own special haven. This master bedroom is exactly that… The designer’s use of patterns, colors, and textures provided a great combination of beauty and elegance. The master bathroom includes a dressing room complete with three-way mirror, vanity table, and his and hers walk in closets to make anyone’s dreams come true. Words could not express how fabulous the experience was for me. As I walked into the closet, it felt as if I was walking into a high enough custom boutique.

Walking from one room to the next was an adventure in itself. In addition to each room being decorated perfectly, the hallways were the icing on the cake.
Laundry Room
I always tell my clients to never forget about their laundry room when it comes to decorating their home. Laundry does not have to be a bad 7 letter room. Be creative with this space and have fun. The Showhouse’s laundry room is simply fabulous. I love all the attention to detail applied in this space. The designer was very creative with the use of apothecary jars to store items such as clothes pins and detergent. I was particularly delighted to see the selection of Mrs. Meyers items. I recently purchased my first order from the Grove Collaborative and I’m hooked. I can now say my own laundry room has something in common with the Showhouse’s.

“That’s Haute” Pop Up Shop
I have been a follower of Donna Moss and That’s Haute since I discovered her on HGTV’s Donna Decorates Dallas. Her eye for design is phenomenal. It was a pleasure to meet her during the private lunch and tour. Donna’s boutique, That’s Haute offers the best clothing and home decor furniture and accessories in town. During the Traditional Home Dallas Decorator’s Showhouse tour, one of the two two-car garages was converted into a pop up shop for That’s Haute. Donna and her staff provided some of her spectacular items. I couldn’t leave without making a purchase or two…. or four..
Prep Kitchen
The prep kitchen is a meal preparer’s dream come true. I fell in love with the many stations, overall space, and beautiful decor in this room. The prep kitchen is as functional as it is divine.
Main Kitchen and Dining
Once again, this home did not disappoint. Every detail from for the color scheme, to the furniture, to the hardware was perfectly planned and designed. The designers left no detail to chance.
Outside Living
I love the idea of bringing design elements from the inside to the outside of the home. The outside living space left no detail ignored. From the beautiful furniture to the accessories, this home’s outside living was spectacular. The landscaping provided a perfect environment for an outdoor retreat.
The Cause
Alzheimer’s is a brain disease that causes a slow decline in memory, thinking and reasoning skills. Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia, which is serious enough to interfere with daily life. The Alzheimer’s Association is a non-profit organization that provides care and support for Alzheimer’s suffers and their loved ones. After the Dallas Decorators Showhouse‘s tour has concluded, the house will be sold. A portion of the proceeds will be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.

It’s really amazing to know that the showhouse isn’t just for show but it has a greater purpose, bigger than the extravagant designs or the fortune spent for this building. It’s truly an art made from concern and awareness for those who are suffering from Alzheimer’s. Thank you so much for sharing this.
