As you all know, I am a very productive woman. In addition to working full-time, teaching online, and running a successful business and blog, I am also a new (again) mom. My children are 20 years old, 12 years old, and 18 months old. With a new baby, I need to be able to properly care for her and still maintain the use of my hands to manage my life. After much thought, I decided to try a baby carrier.
This sponsored post is for Ergobaby. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Baby Carriers are Not Created Equal
When Kelsey was a baby, I decided I needed to start using a baby carrier. Fortunately, I received my first baby carrier as a baby shower gift from one of my friends. It did not come with any real instructions or guidelines. It did not feel comfortable on my body and I didn’t feel it supported my Kelsey. I was unable to use both of my hands because I had to keep one hand on her at all times. I felt as if she would fall out if I did not hold her. I immediately took it off and went back to the drawing board.
Baby Carrier Research
As the months past, I begin inquiring about baby carriers within the different Facebook groups and in the mommy groups. Out of all of the brands suggested, one carrier came up more than others, the Ergobaby Omni 360 Carrier.
Being a mother of “a certain age,” I wanted a carrier that is as beautiful as it is functional. My motto of “creating a beautifully organized life and home” also refers to my accessories. My daughter, Kelsey is an active 18 month old handful. Sometimes she doesn’t want to be in a stroller. Often times, I need the use of my hands and don’t want to have to push a stroller around. As I researched the Ergobaby company, I realized that brand would be perfect. Initially, I was in shock with the amount of information I learned about the functionality of the Ergobaby carrier. I visited their website to learn the abc’s of baby wearing and its benefits. This carrier appeared to be perfect for me and Kelsey.
Testing the Baby Carrier
After receiving the baby carrier, I was in a big hurry to put it to the test. Our first outing was a trip to the vet with the dogs. Yes, I jumped in with a big splash. Initially she was facing me, but she wanted to see the dogs and everything that was going on. The baby carrier is ergonomic which means I was able to switch her around effortless. The Ergobaby carrier can be worn in four positions. After learning about the many functions, I couldn’t imagine using a carrier which did not allow me to use all positions.
Since Kelsey is 20 pounds, I was initially concerned about the support for my back and if the carrier’s straps would dig into my shoulders. The extra cushion and lumbar support was perfect. She felt very comfortable for my body while sitting in the carrier. Personally, I prefer crossing the straps in the back for additional support. The Ergobaby carrier can be used for children up to 45 pounds.
Back Support
The second time I used the carrier, I walked around a local store. I didn’t want to be bothered with a purse. The carrier includes a detachable storage pouch which was perfect for my wallet and phone. I’m looking forward to talking Kelsey on walks around the neighborhood once the weather warms up for the spring.
I’m also looking forward to taking this baby carrier on our family cruise this summer. It has officially made my “must have” packing items for babies.

My only regret with this carrier is that I didn’t have it when Kelsey was an infant. The Ergobaby OMNI 360 carrier grows with your baby. It’s completely adjustable and can be used as early as one week. Unlike many baby carriers, it does not require an infant insert.
My Recommendation
If you are interested in a baby carrier, please consider the Ergobaby Omni 360 carrier. I am so happy to share this experience with you and recommend this product. Although I am constantly approached by various brands and companies to review their products, I only consider items which are a perfect fit for my audience and items I feel comfortable recommending. The Ergobaby Omni 360 not only meet my needs, it also exceeded my expectations.
