The red door alone wins me over. I dream of a bright red door.

Yes, I’ve always wanted to tell my guests that my house is the one with the red door.

I love all of these great organizational ideas. Especially the ottomans that slip right underneath a decorative table. If my entryway were a bit larger I would love to have hooks for coats and hats, and maybe a floating shelf like you suggested. Thanks for all the great interior decorating tips! They’ve inspired me to start thinking about ways I can better utilize this high-traffic space in my own home.

Those are some great ways to use your entry way! I love the idea of a mail station- at our house we’re alwyas putting down the mail in several different locations… I think we’re going to have to try that. Question- I’m vertically challenged so Im a tad bit nervous to decorate up in our home. What are some of your favorite things to hang that arent photos/ artwork. I want to spruce up my home.
Divine Elements of Design says
Thanks for stopping by Melissa. Don’t be afraid to think outside of the box when it comes to your home’s decor. There are multiple things you can hang on your wall besides pictures or art work. I love personalized vinyl wall decor, metal scrolls, shadow boxes, decorative mirrors, shelves, and clocks. Be creative and have fun.

These are all great tips! Something I have noticed is since I am short it is really easy sometimes for me to not to decorate up. Instead of decorating up close, I have to go back in the room and make sure there isn’t dead space up at the top of the room so it looks taller.
Divine Elements of Design says
Thanks for stopping by. It is often a challenge to decorate “up” at times when our eye level is low. We just need to consider everyone who enters our homes are not the same height as we are. We don’t want all of our decor to be eye level to ourselves and below. Be creative and think outside of the box.

I like the shoes idea 🙂 We’ve just kind of let our entryway table collect stuff, but just yesterday I turned that around. I found a way to make three cute, decorative pumpkins for under $3. If you’d like to see how they turned out and make some yourself, check it out here: http://megdgonzalez.com/make-decorative-pumpkins-for-3-dollars/

Out entryway is so small. It has helped now that we have decluttered it but it definitely needs some help!

Lord knows I need a better entryway. I need to find a solution of quitting the removal of the shoes at the entry way. It builds up! yikes!

Yes, the shoe buildup struggle is real. Maybe you and your family can try to get into the habit of moving the shoes to your bedrooms each night before going to bed. Another option is to use an entryway shoe rack and limit the shoes in the entryway to as many shoes as the shoe rack can hold.
