Don’t let the Holiday Turkey receive all of the attention on your dining room table. Your table setting needs to be appreciated for providing such a beautiful visual effect. The following five hacks are to gobble for.
1) A Holiday Charger
An inexpensive plastic charger can create the desired effect of an elegant dinner arrangement. Opt for a metallic gold or silver one for an extra pop. They can even be used after the holiday season. Even if you do not prefer a lot of dishes on your table, you can simply use a charger with a plate and/or beautiful napkin in a napkin ring.
2) Holiday Shakers
Place different styled individual salt and pepper shakers at each setting. This can create a delightful conversation starter. Have fun and be creative when selecting your salt shakers.
3) Creative Names on Place Cards
Use create names on your table’s place cards. Feel free to use celebrity names or popular songs. Wouldn’t you love to sit down in a seat designated for Lady Gaga?
4) Individual Holiday Menus
Print tiny menus listing the meal courses and beverages. It’s the little things that provide fun and creativity.
5) Holiday Centerpiece
Use small potted spice plants as the centerpiece. Herbs such as lavender or rosemary are beautiful and have a pleasant aroma.

I need to invest in plastic chargers! I have wanted them several other times but haven’t take the time to go get them. I think I will have to for Thanksgiving, they make the table look much more finished.

These are some really great ideas! I’m a minimalist, so I don’t have keep extra decorations. I do have two sets of salt & pepper shakers because I love them! Penguins and pigs. They will definitely have a starring role on the table. Love the idea of bringing some of my herb friends inside!

I have been struggling with this! I’ve been trying to decide the best way to set up our table for thanksgiving. I’m a good cook and have had the menu down for a while, BUT I need to spruce up my table a bit. I saw this cute rustic idea on Pinterest about putting the cuttlery in a mason jar that has lace around its base.
