10 Best YouTube Channels For Interior Design, Home DIY, Organization, and Cleaning

October 2, 2018 by Divine Elements of Design 26 Comments

Let’s face it, YouTube is a must have source for getting ideas and techniques for your home. Because of its easy accessibility, you can watch your favorite YouTubers from the comfort of your phone, computer, and TV.

These are my 10 favorite YouTube channels for Interior Design, Home Decor, DIY, Cleaning, and Organization.

YouTube Channels for Interior Design

Tamela Bowie Interiors

I discovered Tamela Bowie of Tamela Bowie Interiors (formerly Haute on Design) several years ago.  Her unique eye for design and attention to detail attracted me to her channel. Tamela Bowie’s YouTube channel was one of the first Interior Design channels I subscribed to. Her on scene personality was very down to earth and relatable. Not only does she have a great eye for design and creates beautiful spaces, she is a successful entrepreneur and role model in the community. Unbeknownst to her, she was my unofficial design mentor before we even met. Luckily for me, I had to pleasure of meeting Tamela Bowie a few years ago. Her personality and lovely demeanor is exactly as she appears on YouTube. I had the wonderful opportunity to co-host an episode on one of her videos on her channel. We had a blast. Please head over to her channel.

Donna Moss Designs

I discovered Donna Moss from watching HGTV’s Donna Decorates Dallas. I immediately fell in love with her designing and personal style. She is not afraid of bling, animal print, or beautiful heels. When they say “Everything is bigger in Texas,” they are referring to her heart and desire to provide the most elegant and beautiful designs for her clients. I met the Queen of Bling, Donna Moss during my tour of the 2017 Dallas Decorators Showhouse. She was one of the remarkable designers for the 7938 square foot home located in Southlake, Texas.  She was as friendly and beautiful in person as she is on television. During the tour I was able to visit the pop up shop for her boutique, That’s Haute. Donna Moss has recently launched her design tile line within Elegant Mosaics brand. Stay tuned for my official review and video of her beautiful designer tiles.

(Although Donna Moss is a celebrity Interior Designer and not a traditional “YouTuber”, she still has a YouTube channel so I was able to add her to this list.)

Robeson Designs

Rebecca Robeson of Robeson Designs have a design plan for everyone. She prides herself in designing every home to fit her client’s individual lifestyles, wishes, and budget. On her YouTube channel, she showcase her residential design projects for clients as well as her own home. She is truly remarkable and have a wonderful gift that she openly shares with her followers.

Home Organization YouTubers

At Home With Nikki

Nikki Boyd of At Home With Nikki is one of the YouTubers who inspired me to start my own YouTube channel and online shop. She has two separate channels, At Home With Nikki and At Work With Nikki. Whenever I need motivation for my own home and business, I can always binge watch her videos for a boost of energy and motivation. Nikki Boyd also inspired me to turn an unused closet into a home office. In addition to being a YouTuber and home organizer, she also has a subscription box service where she shares some of her favorite items with her followers.

Home Organizing by Alejandra.tv

Alejandra Costello’s home was named the most organized home in America. Saying Alejandra Costello is completely organized is an understatement. In her home, there is a place for everything and everything has a label and is color coded. For her strategies, check out her YouTube channel. As a result of watching her videos, I discovered the FreedomFiler organizational system. The FreedomFiler system is the ultimate and easy paper filing system. It is easy to set up and maintain with little effort. Ultimately, one of my first videos was about the FreedomFiler system.

YouTube for Cleaning Tips

Melissa Maker and Clean My Space

Melissa Maker of Clean my Space should be called the Queen of Clean. Her level of cleaning is a cleaning goal. Although her home is spotless and her YouTube channel sometimes make me feel like a slob (lol), she is very down to earth and friendly. Her personality is so friendly and cleaning tips are perfect, you have to subscribe to learn how to level up on your cleaning strategies. She recently gave birth to the most adorable baby boy. It is great to see how she has incorporated her cleaning styles and habits with a new child.

Home Decor and DIY YouTubers

Amateur Decorating Like a Pro With Cathryn Holt

Although Cathryn Holt is a self-proclaimed “amateur,” there is nothing amateur about her home decor style. The videos on her YouTube channel are always professional, stunning, and simply gorgeous. She is also one of the sweetest and most kind YouTubers I have come across. Although she is a popular YouTuber with a phenomenal channel, she takes the time to watch and comment on up and coming YouTubers. She is very humble and it touches my heart. She is truly divine.

Diva Designing on a Dime with Kimberly Davis

Photo Credit: Diva Designing On A Dime (YouTube)

Kimberly Davis is a true diva at heart. I am in love with her channel. When I watch her videos, my inner girly-girl pops out. From everything from the bling to her gold lips design, Kimberly Davis’ channel is the “it” channel to subscribe to. On her channel you will learn how to use items from affordable stores and boutiques to create a divine high-end appeal (with a fraction of the cost). She also participates in fun collaborations and challenges that you can’t miss. Stay tuned for my video in her Fall 2018  Tablescape Challenge. I can’t wait!!!!

Be My Guest With Denise Cooper

Denise Cooper has partnered with home decor brands such JCPenney, Pier 1, Lamps Plus, and many more. Her sense of style, home decor, and DIY is off the charts. With over 200k followers on her YouTube Channel and Instagram, she is an established brand within herself. I love binge watching her videos because her DIYs have just the right amount of elegance and glam. She is truly a lady after my own design heart.

All these channels look amazing! There has been a void in my life since Kim and Aggie left UK TV screens with “how clean is your house?” I’ll have to have a look at these 🙂

Ohhh…I need to watch the interior designs. I’m horrible with decorating. We move so often with the military that I don’t take much time to decorate. We are pretty simple and would consider ourselves minimalists when it comes to decorating, especially the walls.

I was active duty for 8 years so I know about about moving. I definitely love the minimalist approach to home decor and organization.

Hi! This is very timely! We just bought a house, and we are furnishing blindly – just buying furniture sets here and there. How I wished I have known these youtube channels to better decorate our house. I will check out Donna Moss Designs. =)

I love the Donna Moss segment in your piece. My wife would definitely love this since she wants glamorous jewelry, I think this will fit her character. We would like help from residential interior designers to help us mimic Moss’s bold style of mixing victorian, animal print and glamorous lighting and metalware.
