How to Create a Mobile Office Using A Toiletry Bag

October 29, 2016 by Divine Elements of Design 13 Comments

Have you ever had to work on the go? Did you need to take your office supplies with you? Have you ever worked out of a hotel room or Starbucks and didn’t have the necessary office supplies with you? Consider using a toiletry bag for your mobile office supplies.

mobileoffice

I’m always finding new ways to use simple everyday items for productivity. Although I have a decorating studio in an executive office suite, I often find myself meeting with clients in their homes, new home construction sites, or even local Starbucks. In addition to my Chromebook or iPad, I need the necessary “office supplies” to be prepared to process orders, write contracts, and take payments.

Think Outside The Box

At first, I kept my supplies in a traditional pencil case when working on the go. It worked great, but my paper clips and other items were all tangled together and appeared cluttered. I didn’t like simply tossing all items in the case or bag. I decided to use a hanging toiletry bag.

The exact hanging toiletry bag I used to transform into a mobile office was the Hanging Toiletry Bag By Yofi Nurture Yourself. It was given to me to review. When I saw it, I knew it would make the perfect bag for my mobile office.  I love this particular bag because it has several compartments and it doesn’t look like a typical toiletry bag. This bag is made out of durable Polyester. It is tear proof, stain proof, and also water proof. You can use the attached hook to hang on a door, the back of a restaurant chair, or even to attach it to your work bag. Overall, I am very pleased with my complete mobile office. This bag can be found on Amazon. To see how I pack my bag, you can  watch my YouTube review HERE.

I hope you found this information helpful. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask in the comments section below. I would also love to hear of different ways you would use a toiletry bag for productivity.

I need to start thinking out of the box way more often from the sounds of it. This bag is a great idea.

What a great idea! I love the different compartments to keep things separate but the fact that it’s all one piece means is easy to transport. Being able to hang it on the back of a chair makes it handy.

Using a toiletry bag for office supplies is genius! I usually just carry a simple notebook and pen along with my Macbook when I’m traveling. Having a little bag like this packed would be better though!

That is such an awesome idea. I love using everyday items in new ways. I recently got my daughter a toiletry bag to store all her American Girls doll accessories.

Oh, my! Such a great idea! I currently use a pencil case that isn’t really doing the trick 😉 This is an excellent suggestion!
